Massacre Rocks marks a rest stop used for years by Oregon Trail pioneers. The names of emigrants are inscribed on the large rock, which is now protected by a weather shelter. The park also includes a scenic picnic area, a horse rest area for highway travelers and rich geological history--volcanic evidence is everywhere.
